Grade II listed Oxfordshire house lime repointing

This lovely home near Oxford was suffering from the masonry bees and was generally at a point where the remaining lime pointing needed to be replaced and all innappropriate repairs needed to to be brought back to a lovely hot-mixed quicklime mortar. This job had the epic rain of early 2024 but we managed to keep the job moving along. The mortar chosen for this property was mellowed slightly through the choice of sands to give it a more aged cream colour. We felt this was important to allow the newly pointed stone work to sit well against the stunning stone roof.
